Tour Description
The trip starts from your hotel, we drive to Joya de Ceren. We walk approx 1 hour in the archaeological park and we explain you about Mayan Culture and settlements in El Salvador. We visit the museum and the excavation area of Joya de Ceren, then we drive one hour to Tazumal Archeaological Park, which hosts the biggest Mayan Pyramid in El Salvador. Then we drive to Lake Coatepeque, which is a Lake formed on the old crater of a collapsed volcano. We can enjoy a meal with the view of Lake Coatepeque and optionally, we can drive you down to the lake in case you want to do a boat ride or jetski, these are not included in the price but you can pay right there in cash (approx $5-$10 for a boat ride per person and $30 for jetski). Bring, sunblock, rainjacket and money for food and drinks, mosquito repellant, good walking shoes.

Joya de Ceren is unique as it shows the life of normal Mayans approx 1500 years ago and Tazumal is important because its home to the biggest Mayan Pyramid in El Salvador.
